CLIENT

-          A Computer joined in the domain with client operating system.

-          Client operating system like

·         Windows Vista, Windows XP Professional, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows 7, Windows 8.

Note:- Except Home Edition, Basic Edition, Starter Edition, Lite Edition

MEMBER SERVER

-          A Computer joined in the domain with server operating server system.

-          Server operating systems like

·         Windows 2000 Server

·         Windows Server 2003

·         Windows Server 2008

·         Windows Server 2012

DOMAIN

-          Domain means logical boundary of computer or logical grouping of computer

-          Domain contains, Domain controller, Client and member server.

-          Domain computer are controlled by domain controller

-          Domain is represented by triangle

User Management

Local User

-          A user account created in local database of a computer

-          Local user are generally used in Workgroup model

-          Local user can login only on the respective computer

Domain User

-          A user account created in active directory database

-          Domain user are used in domain model

-          Domain users can logon to any computer in the domain
